This marvelous vacation is meant to offer your special moments of taste and flavor from all over the island.

Mytilene, the capital of Lesvos is one of the most prominent places to get in touch with exquisite local delicious food. 

Take charming cooking classes, be part of a special ritual were people are gathered to work with their own hands, and prepare meals that will be happily shared. 

Amazing ouzo - Lesvos has almost 22 ouzo producers-, local wines  and worldwide rewarded olive oil will close this perfect trip of taste.

Stay with us at the Loriet Hotel on Mytilene and enjoy the most tasteful cooking.

In the ancient village of Varia at our old country Cottage at the back yard, next to the old well and vegetable garden with an open kitchen will introduce our healthy famous recipes of Lesvos.

A limited number of guests can join us for a very personalized experience cooking and learning about cooking life and local tequniques with best local products. 

This year, Effie Gialousi,  co -owner  of the Loriet Estate, food writer, cookbook author, TV host and radio producer, will introduce the delicious home cooking of the island.

Daily 3-4 hour hands-on cooking session in her country home kitchen, where guests can really enjoy the spirit of Lesvos.

01. What is the easiest way to get to Mytilene, Lesvos?

The fastest route is to fly into Athens and to catch a connecting flight to the island.

7. What is the dress code for the classes and excursions?

Dress code is casual and comfortable. Bring  summer cloths, layers, as the weather can get chilly at night. Bring bathers for the beach or the pool,   walking and/or hiking shoes, long socks, shorts and long pants.

8. What is the tipping policy?

Most people tip the kitchen assistants and hotel personnel, i.e. cleaning person. Taxi drivers are generally not tipped. It is customary to leave a 10% – 15% tip in restaurants.

9. How many people are in each class?

Our maximum capacity is 14. Most classes are 10 people or less.

10. It is common to travel solo?

Absolutely. We have many single guests and everyone feels at home and very comfortable.

11. Are children welcome?

 yes, we love kids. over 12 are welcome to participate for free.
