The Return of the Mansion

Like many historic residences, the mansion eventually faced difficult years.
Times changed, the burden of maintenance grew, and the building gradually declined.

In the early 1980s, the Gialousis family made a decisive choice: to restore the estate and transform it into a hotel while preserving its identity.

The restoration was carried out with respect and careful attention to detail.

In 1992, the restaurant began operating on the ground floor and in the gardens.
In 1996, the hotel officially opened its doors.

A modern wing was later created, discreetly placed within the vegetation so that the historic mansion would remain the true protagonist.

Loriet did not simply become a hotel.

It remained a home - one that continues to welcome guests.

Growth in Harmony with the Gardens

Over the years, the estate expanded gradually and thoughtfully.

Between the oleander-lined avenue and the mansion, modern buildings with pyramid-shaped roofs and two two-storey villas were added.

These new structures were designed to blend naturally into the gardens without overshadowing the historic tower.

Today, the estate offers 30 spacious accommodations, each with its own character:

• private gardens or verandas
• views toward greenery, the pool, or the Aegean
• bright interiors with minimal elegance

At the center of the estate lies the seawater swimming pool, surrounded by century-old pine trees and only steps from the sea.

Stone pathways, hidden corners, and lush gardens create the atmosphere of a private estate rather than a conventional hotel.

A Living Estate

Today, Loriet is a unique blend of history and contemporary hospitality.

The estate includes:

• the historic mansion with its Belle Époque suites
• the romantic attic overlooking the Aegean
  modern residences and maisonettes among the gardens
• the stone-built cottages, quiet and secluded

And at the heart of everything:
