GARDENS OF LORIET

Where Nature and History Walk Together

The gardens of Loriet have grown together with the estate since 1880.

At their center lies the historic avenue, once crossed by carriages arriving at the Mansion. Today, it remains the main pathway through the gardens.

Stretching approximately 80 meters, the avenue forms a green corridor of bay trees, oleanders, and palm trees.

Over time, guests - especially couples walking beneath the foliage - began calling it "the lovers' road."
The name stayed.

Across the estate stand century-old pine trees, cypresses, palms and olive trees. Fruit trees and seasonal plants enrich the landscape throughout the year:

  • lemon and orange trees
  • almond and walnut trees
  • figs and cherries
  • aromatic herbs such as rosemary and mint
  • flowers, including the striking Strelitzia (bird of paradise)

As a natural extension of this relationship with the land, Loriet maintains its own vegetable garden.

Fresh products from the garden - tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and seasonal fruits - are served daily at breakfast.
