The Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos, in collaboration with the Environmental Awareness Center of Kallonis and the North Aegean Region, is organizing an online event to celebrate World Wetlands Day, themed "Wetlands of Lesvos." The event will take place on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 6:00 PM.
The goal of the event is to inform and raise awareness among citizens, particularly the youth, about the protection of the wetlands in Lesvos.
During the event, the following talks will be held:
"The Importance and Value of Wetlands"

"Wetlands and Birds of Lesvos"
Eleni Galinou, PhD, Environmental Scientist, Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos, Environmental Awareness Center of Kallonis
The event will be moderated by Nikolaos Zouros, Professor, Department of Geography, Aegean University, Director of the Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos.
